Doctor's Best Nattokinase providing a therapeutic 2,000 FUs (fibrinolytic units) of powerful active Nattokinase enzyme per veggie capsule. This proteolytic enzyme is extracted from a Japanese fermented soy food called natto. During the production of natto, friendly bacteria Bacillus subtilis ferment boiled, non-GMO soybeans, producing nattokinase. Nattokinase has been identified to be a potent fibrinolytic enzyme, showing an ability to break down fibrin, a blood clotting protein. Doctor's Best nattokinase has had the Vitamin K2 removed, since it assists in blood coagulation. Nattokinase helps the body keep blood flowing in a healthy way, which promotes all round health for the heart, brain and muscles by increasing circulation and therefore much needed oxygen supply to all organs. - Chronic Fatigue
- Varicose veins
- Other conditions of chronic inflammation
Adults: Take 1-2 capsule daily, between meals.
Note: Best Nattokinase should be taken with no food in the stomach and one hour before eating. This is important because the enzyme needs to be activated in the lower intestine, so it can be absorbed into the blood stream and perform its primary function, which is to digest dead proteins.
Some questions and answers about Doctor's Best and their product Doctor's Best Nattokinase
Is Best Nattokinase non-GMO?
Yes, it is non-GMO.
Does cellulose interfere with the absorption of supplements?
Dietary fiber in general is known to change intestinal viscosity, nutrient absorption, transit time, and gut hormones. Although there is some evidence from animal studies that large amounts of cellulose in the diet (6-12% of diet) can interfere with nutrient absorption (particularly minerals), there is no evidence that the small amount in capsules interfere with nutrient absorption, as there are many pharmacokinetic studies that have been conducted with nutrients in cellulose capsules, demonstrating the ability of the nutrients to be effectively absorbed.
What is HPLC?
HPLC stands for "High Performance Liquid Chromatography." This is an analytical lab testing method that is used to quantify the active ingredients. It is considered to be a very sensitive and accurate test. HPLC testing is a tool recognized as a quality benchmark for herbal extracts.
Since Doctor's Best does not manufacture its supplements, how are the purity and integrity of supplements verified? In addition, how are your prices lower than other brands? Does this mean that quality is being compromised?
Doctor's Best supplements are manufactured in the US at cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) certified facilities. All of our manufacturers and suppliers go through our vendor qualification program, which includes inspections and testing, before we agree to work with them. Our finished products have also been tested at the raw material level, in process, and as a finished product to ensure safety and quality. We place the highest importance on safety and quality and do not compromise for the sake of a better price point. The price points are lower because of production size and the overall business structure. We also place great importance on making our supplements available and affordable to those who need them most.
What is cellulose and modified cellulose produced from?
Southern pine and spruce.
What does NSK-SD mean?
NSK-SD is simply the trademarked name of the nattokinase enzyme that is produced by Japan BioScience Laboratory.
How should I take Best Nattokinase?
The best way to take Nattokinase is on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and just before bedtime (if your stomach has no food in it). The reason why we don't want your stomach to have food in it is because it would activate the Nattokinase. It is an enzyme so if it meets food it will activate and digest the food. What we want it to do is to activate in the lower intestine where it gets taken up into the blood stream and it is there where we ant it to start digesting the 'dead proteins' to help with your circulation. Please take it with a room temperature glass of water not juice and never take it out of the capsule.
What is deodorization?
Enzyme activity is determined after the refining process, which could include deodorization. As part of FDA cGMP's, Doctor's Best also guarantees that Nattokinase (in the capsule, in the bottle), also guarantees activity per capsule to meet Doctor's Best label claim using industry approved and validated assay methods.
Why is vitamin K taken out of Nattokinase?
The Vitamin K2 has been removed, because vitamin K assists in blood coagulation
Why are you not showing the mg of Nattokinase on your label and what does FU stand for?
ALL enzymes are measured in"active units". FU is fibrinolytic units, a measure of enzymatic activity.
How is Nattokinase produced?
Natto is produced by a fermentation process by adding the bacteria Bacillus subtilis to boiled soybeans. The resulting Nattokinase enzyme is produced when Bacillus subtilis acts on the soybeans. While other soy foods contain enzymes, it is only the natto preparation that contains the specific Nattokinase enzyme.
Why isn't Doctor's Best Nattokinase enteric coated?
Doctor's Best is committed to using the highest quality Nattokinase manufactured and independently tested at the industry recognized enzyme manufacturing facility, Deerland Enzymes in Kennesaw, Georgia. We believe by utilizing this manufacturing technology we are providing the highest quality Nattokinase available at an affordable price point.
