Dong Quai is widely used in China for its use in enhancing blood circulation to the uterus. It is often used in relieving menopausal and premenstrual symptoms as well as period pain, irregular menstruation, vaginal infections and discharge. 100 caps
Commonly used by herbalists as a hormonal balancer to relieve menopausal symptoms, hot flushes, cramping and irregular menstrual cycles. It has also been used in the following: childbirth, circulation, a tonic to the female glands, lubricates the intestines, menopause, menstrual disorders, amenorrhoea, PMT, dysmenorrhoea, prolapsed uterus. As well as this, Dong Quai has been used in anaemia, angina, internal bleeding, blood clots, blood sugar problems, blood purifier, brain cells, breast abscesses, internal bruising, constipation, cramps, dehydration, migraine headaches, high blood pressure, hypoglycemias, to strengthen and relax muscles, nerves, abdominal pain, retained placenta, dry skin and stomach aches.
Two capsules three times daily with water at mealtimes. Once condition has improved, usage can be decreased or taken as needed for a two week period beginning 10 days before the start of each menstrual cycle.
This herb has the ability to help maintain a proper balance of female hormones and is effective in the treatment of all menstrual disorders including menopausal symptoms, hot flushes, cramping, irregular menstrual cycles and back ache related to the menstrual cycle. The Chinese claim it has the power to open blocked passageways in the body. As well as this, it has been used in stabilising high blood pressure and low blood sugar. It has some antispasmodic components, gives nourishment to the brain and has been helpful in recovering from strokes. Has been used for recovery when internal bruises and bleeding exist due to an injury or accident. It lubricates the intestines, which can help relieve constipation. It helps tone and strengthen conditions in the mother before and after a birth of a baby. Dong Quai has been tested clinically to help overcome Vitamin E deficiency symptoms. It contains the Vitamins A, E and B12.
Each capsule contains 565mg of Dong Quai, harvested from the Wild in Northern China.
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid during pregnancy. During heavy menstruation or any form of bleeding, Dong Quai may exacerbate, so caution or avoidance is recommended. (Black cohosh may be used instead).
