Efalex Studies Produce Overwhelming Evidence
Wednesday, October 11th 2006
Children with ADHD type symptoms plus extreme thirst and skin problems associated with essential fatty acid deficiency.
They were treated with 8 capsules of Efalex daily for 4 months
- 73% reduction in hyperactivity
- 64% improvement in attention
- 69% improvement in conduct
- 75% of children no longer classified as having oppositional defiance disorder at the end of the study.
These results were highly significant because the children were already being treated with conventional drugs, so improvements on Efalex were beyond those achieved with drug therapy.
Children with a combination of reading and concentration difficulties or ADHD
Relative to placebo, 8 capsules of Efalex daily for 6 months increased:
- Reading speed by 70%
- Hand/eye co-ordination by 81%
- Social interaction (as noted by parents and children alike)
Children with Dyslexia
The children were given 8 capsules of Efalex (or placebo) daily for 6 months followed by another 6 months on Efalex.
6 months treatment with Efalex produced significantly greater gains in reading progress than placebo. These improvements correlated with improvements in physical signs of essential fatty acid deficiency.
