Cayenne As Circulatory Stimulant
Thursday, September 18th 2003
According to the late Dr John R Christopher, Master Herbalist, "One of the most important uses of Cayenne is as a circulatory stimulant, a herb that feeds the necessary elements into the cell structure of the arteries, veins and capillaries so that they regain their youthful elasticity and blood pressure reduces itself to normal. When the blood cannot circulate freely, higher pressure is needed to force the blood through. Cayenne equalises the blood pressure, influencing the heart immediately and then extending its effects to the venous system.
"Used as a heart attack preventative, along with a healthy lifestyle, Cayenne can do wonders in toning and rebuilding the heart and keeping it in top condition.
Cayenne also works powerfully to arrest bleeding. Place the powder directly on an open wound and usually by the count of ten the bleeding will have stopped. If there is internal haemorrhaging - lungs, stomach, nose or uterus have the person take a teaspoon of Cayenne in a glass of quite warm water; the blood pressure will be equalised, taking the pressure off the affected part, clotting will begin and the haemorrhage will stop.
"Cayenne increases the value and healing properties of other herbs and carries them to the part of the body affected through the venous system. It helps relieve cramping and pain throughout the body. It reduces inflammation and haemorrhoids, even when they are serious and painful.
It is an excellent expectorant. Mixed with Ginger, it does a wonderful job of cleaning out the bronchial tubes and sinus cavities and relieving the problems associated with colds and flu".
Dr Christopher saved many lives through administering Cayenne.
