Stretch Marks
Stretch marks appear when there is rapid stretching of the skin and manifest as parallel streaks of red, glossy skin, that reduces to a scar-like appearance over time. Commonly associated with pregnancy, they can also be found in children who have seen rapid growth during puberty or in people who have become rapidly obese. Stretchmarks are most commonly located on the breasts, hips, thighs, stomach and buttocks.
