Blood Pressure (Low) or Hypotension
Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is generally considered to be a systolic below 100 mm Hg. In some cases, hypotension reflects individual variations and is no cause for concern. Low blood pressure is often associated with long life and an old age free from illness. However, there are different types of low blood pressure including orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure upon standing up from sitting or lying down), chronic hypotension and acute hypotension. Acute hypotension is a medical emergency.
Many natural health practitioners believe low blood pressure can also show of adrenal insufficiency or adrenal exhaustion.
