Common Uses

Nature's Way Alfa-Max is a 10X extract of fresh green Alfalfa leaves. Alfa-Max is much more digestible than raw Alfalfa because the plant cellulose has been removed. Alfalfa is a highly nutritious herb providing a wide range of vitamins and minerals including relatively high amounts of chlorophyll, calcium, potassium, silica and iron, plus Vitamins A (as beta-carotene), B1, B2, B9, C, D, E and K, manganese, copper, zinc, magnesium, cobalt, and sulphur. Alfalfa is also high in protein with 8 Nature's Way capsules providing approximately 43% protein by weight. Alfamax is something you can take instead of a multivitamin. I believe Alfamax is a far superior product to a multivitamin, because it contains all the known vitamins and many minerals, but these are all naturally occurring. Unlike a multivitamin, where somebody has added the vitamins and minerals, our body recognises Alfamax as a plant and part of the food chain, so is able to more easily obtain the nutrients.

Ingredients

Concentrated Alfalfa Juice. Alfalfa leaves are pressed and the juice that comes out is dried and powdered and placed in the capsules in this product. Alfalfa concentrate (leat) 420mg, Alfalfa (leaf) 105mg. Providing Vitamin A (100% beta carotene) 172.5IU, Calcium 13mg.

Safety Information

Keep out of reach of children. Caution is recommended with blood thinning drugs e.g. warfarin. Alfalfa has been linked to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), a condition characterized by inflammation of connective tissue. Those diagnosed with SLE should avoid alfalfa products.
