Co-Enzyme Q10 is found in every cell of the body, and is highly concentrated in heart muscles. Co enzyme Q10 is useful in cellular emergences, including enhanced physical performance, oxygen utilisation and endurance with fatigue during and after exercise. Other areas of proven effectiveness include cardiovascular disease, angina pectoris, congestive heart failure, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, immune insufficiencies, chronic fatigue and free radical stress. Low levels of Co enzyme Q10 in the body will affect muscle status, circulation, cardiovascular health and severely deplete the immune system.

Co enzyme Q10 is a naturally-occurring molecule similar in structure to Vitamin E. Co-Enzyme Q10 is found in all cells and is an essential component of the 'energy furnaces' responsible for a cells energy production. Co-Enzyme Q10 also acts as an antioxidant and free radical scavenger, thus is essential for the health of all human tissues and organs. Deficiencies of this substance have been reported in a wide range of conditions including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and periodontal disease. In addition, animal studies have shown that the decline in Co enzyme Q10 levels that occurs with age may be partly responsible for age related deterioration of the immune system. Co-Q-Max provides high-dose co-enzyme Q10 (Ubidecarenone) an important intracellular enzyme, essential for the formulation of the primary donor of energy to the cell, ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). CoQ-Max is an effective lipid soluble antioxidant, and is capable of stabilising cell membranes as well as preventing depletion of metabolites necessary for the synthesis of ATP. A number of recent studies using CoQ10 have been investigated in its role in cardiovascular disease. The heart research institute showed that CoQ10 supplements increase CoQ10 levels in the blood and enhance the resistance of the fats in LDL (bad cholesterol) to oxidative attack. Oxidised LDL is thought to play a major role in coronary artery disease. A randomised trial of CoQ10 at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, showed that 150mg of CoQ10 a day improved both symptoms and exercise time in heart failure patients. A Study in Melbourne at the Baker Institute showed that when aged human heart muscle was stressed, its recovery was markedly reduced compared with young heart muscle. However, when pre treated with CoQ10 the recovery in the aged heart muscle was as good as young heart muscle. CoQ10 may be beneficial in some patient's undergoing heart surgery. It has also been shown that CoQ10 levels can fall with the use of cholesterol lowering statin drugs. Given the increasing use of these drugs, co-treatment with CoQ10 may be advised.

Each soft gel capsules provides: Co enzyme Q10 (Ubidecarenone) 150 mg, d-alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 50 IU or 33.6 mg, Evening Primrose Oil 200mg, Equiv. Gamma Linolenic Acid 20 mg, Fish Oil - natural 200mg, Equiv. Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 36 mg, Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 24 mg, Linseed (Flaxseed) oil 200mg, equiv. Linolenic Acid (omega 3) 100 mg, Oleic Acid (Omega 9) 30 mg, Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) 14mg. Contains no added yeast, gluten, dairy products, lactose, sucrose, egg, corn, artificial colour, flavour or sweetener.
