Common Uses

Suggested Dosage

Take one tablet twice daily, with water. For intensive use, take up to two tablets three times a day. Use consistently for 1-2 months before evaluating effectiveness. Can be used long term.

Hawthorn extracts are commonly used in Europe to treat heart problems, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular problems. Studies have confirmed hawthorn's ability to improve the efficiency of the heart by improving blood flow to and from the heart. Hawthorn improves the contraction of heart muscle, slows progression of heart disease, enhances circulation to the extremities, prevents constriction of the blood vessels, and is a potent antioxidant. In a study of 38 patients with early stage congestive heart failure, exercise tolerance & endurance improved for those taking Hawthorn vs. placebo. Shortness of breath & post-exercise fatigue also lessened for the patients on Hawthorn. In another study, 60 angina patients were given hawthorn or a placebo. Those on hawthorn were able to exercise for longer without having an angina pain. Upon testing, hawthorn subjects were found to have improved blood and oxygen to the heart.

Ingredients

Each 1 tablet contains Hawthorn, dried leaf, flower extract 80mg, providing 18.75% oligomeric Procyanidins. Other ingredients: Cellulose, maltodextrin, modified cellulose gum, stearic acid, modified cellulose, silica, titanium dioxide, riboflavin, glycerin, carmine.
