Common Uses

Amino acid which raises serotonin levels in the brain. Is used for depression (bipolar/unipolar), heart disease, insomnia, obesity, balances mood, may assist with obsessive compulsive disorders, helps unclutter the head of racing thoughts at night so you can get to sleep easier, reduces aggression, reduces appetite, increases beta-endorphin release, creates a more relaxed waking state, increases pain threshold, may reduce severity of Parkinson's disease symptoms, may reduce severity of migraine headache symptoms.

Suggested Dosage

Take one or two capsules daily, preferably at bedtime. Do not exceed this dosage without professional advice. Hints for better results. Take 2 hours before or after meals. Take with high carbohydrate (sugar) snack or liquid such as orange juice. Avoid high protein meals close to taking 5-HTP to allow maximum assimilation. Supplement Vitamin B3 (niacin) to prevent breakdown of 5-HTP to niacinamide. Supplement Vitamin B6 and Magnesium to maximise benefits.

Radiance SeroTone 5-HTP. The 5 HTP in this formula is extracted from the seeds of the African plant. Griffonia simplicifolia. 5-HTP is the immediate metabolite between the amino acid L-tryptophan and Serotonin. Serotonin produces an inhibitory effect on the nervous system that soothes, calms and creates a feeling of contentment. The brain chemical Serotonin has been known to researchers for nearly half a century and new research continues to demonstrate how it influences mood and emotion. Serotonin deficiency has been implicated in depression, anxiety, panic, migraines, appetite problems and PMS.

Ingredients

Each capsule contains: 5-HTP (5-hydroxytryotophan) from Griffonia simplicifolia seeds 50mg. 100% vegetarian. Cellulose capsule, rice starch, magnesium stearate, silica. No corn, egg, gluten, milk derivatives, nuts, salt, soy, sugar, wheat, yeast, artificial preservatives, flavouring or colours.
