Greenridge Scarless Healer.  Made with St John's wort and Calendula in a healing cream base. A must in the first aid kit. May be used for infected or clean wounds, burnt or scalded skin etc. In Germany  and other European countries Calendula is used topically on slow to heal wounds and for ulcerations on the leg.  Internally it is used to help with the much faster healing of surgical wounds.  Pharmacological studies, most involving animals, have confirmed a wide range of activities. Calendula extracts are anti inflammatory, anti viral and stimulate the immune system to increase the particle ingestion capacity of white blood cells. In addition, calendula increases granulation at the site of a wound, promoting metabolism of protein and collagen, so in other words, helping grow new healthy cells.  Topically calendula is widely accepted for treating inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes, slow to heal wounds, mild burns and sunburn.   Hypericum offers topical pain relief, and an anti septic action. It states that topically it is used for the treatment of wounds, abrasions and first degree burns.  It is especially good for lacerations involving damaged nerves.  A must for any first aid kit. 50gm

Common Uses

Hypericum and Calendula may be used in the treatment of wounds, cuts, infected skin conditions, burned or scalded skin, abrasions (gravel rash), lacerations, nappy rash, slow to heal wounds, mild burns and sunburn.

Suggested Dosage

Apply freely to affected parts. Patch test on a small area of skin for any allergic activity.

Health Information

Based on Rosa's Scarless healer but double the strength. St John's Wort has been used since first century Greek physicians Galen and Dioscorides recommended it as a wound-healing herb. It is still used by physicians for wound healing, especially for lacerations involving damaged nerves.  Calendula preparations are approved in Germany and other European countries for topical use on slow-to-heal wounds and for ulcerations on the leg. Calendula extracts are anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and stimulate the immune system to increase the particle ingestion capacity of white blood cells. (In this respect calendula is similar to echinacea). In addition, calendula increases granulation at the site of a wound, promoting metabolism of proteins and collagen - in other words, helping grow new healthy cells.

Ingredients

Each 1 gram contains: Calendula officinalis extract equivalent dry flower 51mg, Hypericum perforatum tincture, equivalent dry herb 10.2mg.   Contains alcohol. Contains Imidurea and chlorocresol.
