Indications for use: Leg/foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infected wounds, sloughy wounds, necrotic wounds, malodorous wounds, surgical wounds, donor and recipient graft sites, burns, superficial wounds such as cuts, scratches and abrasions, general first aid. Serious wounds, such as surgical wounds, infected wounds, burns, leg/foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic wounds, donor and recipient graft sites, necrotic, sloughy or malodorous wounds, should be managed under the supervision of a health care professionals.
Directions for use: 1. Protect wound edges with Medihoney Barrier Cream. 2. Medihoney Antibacterial Wound Gel can be directly applied to the base of the wound. Avoid direct contact between the wound and the nozzle of the tube. 3. Ensure that Medihoney Antibacterial Wound Gel is in full contact with the base of the wound. - approximately 3mm thickness (1/4 inch). Apply more if wound fluid is present. 4. A suitable non-adherent sterile pad or dressing should be applied to cover the Medihoney Antibacterial Wound Gel. 5. The dressing should be sufficiently absorbent to manage wound fluid (exudate). 6. Medihoney Antibacterial Wound Gel can be left of the wound for up to 7 days dependant on the amount of fluid present. The dressing should be changed when it is saturated with wound fluid or if the cover dressing is leaking. 7. At removal of dressing, the waxes contained in the Medihoney Antibacterial Gel may remain leaving a protective layer. These waxes can be washed away at each dressing change.

Keep out of reach of Children. Contraindications Do not use on individuals who have an allergic reaction to honey. Observations A small amount of honey may be observed when opening the tube. This is normal and is not an indication of product deterioration. The wound may appear larger in size and depth as dead tissue is cleansed away. This increase should be followed by an improved appearance of the wound. Precautions Medihoney Antibacterial Wound Gel is not recommended for use in deep wounds or body cavities where removal of the waxes may be difficult. For any experience or reaction other than a short lasting sting sensation, remove the dressing and wash the affected area. To be used with caution and close observation on heavily exudating wounds. In the event of a slow or non-responding wound, please seek medical advice. For single patient use. Use within 4 months of opening.
