Common Uses

Also recommended for adults demonstrating symptoms of reduced cognitive function such as memory loss, poor concentration and confusion and/or are at risk of more serious age related cognitive decline. The beneficial effects of omega-3 fatty acids may also help enhance cardiovascular health.

Suggested Dosage

1 capsule daily with food with food for therapeutic benefit.  Refrigerate after opening.

Efalex Active Adult is a unique, high DHA long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid formula from Efamol - the essential fatty acid experts. DHA, from fish oil, is essential nutrition for healthy brain and eye function for adults of all ages. DHA has been the subject of extensive international research showing a variety of benefits for health and vitality, especially in relation to brain, nerve and eye health. Supplementation with Efalex Active Adult supports healthy working memory, cognitive clarity and co-ordinated motor skills. As well as 250mg of the essential long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid DHA, this protective formula also includes phosphatidylserine - a naturally occurring phospholipid that is found concentrated in myelin sheaths, the protective layer surrounding nerve cells. Phosphatidylserine may help maintain the integrity and fluidity of myelin sheaths, which enhance nerve regeneration and increase the speed of information transmission from neuron to neuron. The addition of premium standardised Ginkgo biloba extract, a superb peripheral circulatory tonic, helps improve oxygen and nutrition transport to the brain, whilst improved circulation also helps remove cellular waste material. Vitamin B12 and folic acid, also included in the formula, are important cell function co-factors that may help maintain brain cell integrity, nerve cell function, energy production and maintenance of healthy homocysteine levels, all of which may help maintain healthy working memory and mental clarity. Efalex Active Adult contains NO genetically modified ingredients, NO environmental contaminants, negligible levels of vitamin A and has been mercury tested to assure safe and effective use.

Each softgel contains: High DHA Marine fish oil concentrate 500mg, total Omega-3 nutrients 350mg providing: DHA 250mg, EPA 40mg, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract 60mg, standardised to 24% ginkgoflavone glycosides, & 6% ginkolides & bilobalides, Phosphatidylserine 15mg, Folic acid 250mcg, Vitamin B12 5mcg, Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) 5mg.  Other ingredients: Gelatin, glycerol, sorbitol, red & yellow oxide capsule, glyceryl monostearate.  No cod liver, corn, egg, gluten, nuts, salt, sugar, wheat, yeast, preservatives or flavourings.
