Silberhorn
100 Capsules
Contains the most concentrated source of alkylglycerols, known to activate the immune system to help prevent and combat disease. It has been used to stimulate the immune system, increasing antibodies, leukocytes and thrombocytes. It has been shown to help reduce radiation induced injuries of leucopenia and thrombocytopenia. Alkylglycerols have been shown to have antibiotic and anti fungal effects, can speed up the healing of wounds and can increase the excretion of mercury.
1-2 capsules daily. Many people are prescribed a higher therapeutic dosage, especially those having radio or chemotherapy. However, always seek professional advice, if a higher dosage is going to be taken, as more is not always better.
Shark liver oil is a by-product of the commercial fishing quota of shark as a food source. What is meant by this is that the oil in this product comes from sharks livers who have been caught with normal fish quotas, not fished for specifically to then harvest the oil from their liver. Thanks to the activities of marine researchers we now know a great deal more about the sharks and their role in the ocean. Of special interest is the length of their lifespan, with some species living more than 70 years. Sharks have demonstrated a powerful resistance to disease and significantly for us, almost never develop cancerous tumors, which are so common in other species and today, more common still in man. In fact, a major research institute in the USA which has studied more than 25,000 sharks over a period of 25 years has found only 1 case of a shark with a malignant tumour. Obviously this finding has created interest in scientific circles and the result of the research into this phenomenon has revealed that the source of the sharks powerful immunity to disease appears to reside in its liver, and is particular the special oil which is found in the liver of deep sea shark species. The obvious question to be asked and answered is this Can we derive the benefits inherent in the oil and if so how? So far, that question can be answered, at least in part. Expressed in general terms, the benefits associated with the oil include: An enhanced and strengthened immune system which can act to help protect us from viral diseases such as colds, influenza and herpes simplex (cold sores) and some bacterial conditions as well. A natural resistance to some rheumatic and arthritic problems. Enhanced antibacterial activity. The possibility of enhancing the immune system of breast fed babies. Possible regression of tumour growth, particularly in cases of uterine cancer. Possible protection from radiation induced damage, in particular the replenishment of the white blood cells (leucocytes). Shark liver oil is naturally rich in alkylglycerols, squalene, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins A, D & E. Alkylglycerols are known for their natural immune boosting properties. Research into their possible use in diminishing harmful side effects of radiation therapy exist in a clinical study in 1963 by Brohult - entitled "Alkylglycerols and their use in Radiation Treatment." This is just a small taste of the many benefits of Shark liver oil. There is untold information that has been published on the health benefits of Shark liver oil, such as the New Zealand book The Defenzol Story, by John Croft, Marine researcher.
