Common Uses

This wonderfully moisturising soap is ideal for those with dry skin, psoriasis, eczema and any irritated skin condition. It can also be used to cleanse the face, to wash hair and for shaving. Its recipe originates from a traditional Syrian recipe, which dates back many centuries. It does not contain any perfume or colouring materials or synthetic ingredients and is totally biodegradable. Health Information

Most soap made with animal tallow can block the skins pores leading to problems such as acne. Fortunately, olive oil soap will actually cleanse the pores and because olive oil doesn't fully saponify in the soap making process, it leaves a light covering of oil on the skin, which moisturizes and nourishes the skin while offering a barrier from the environment. The natural oils in the soap make it excellent for sufferers of eczema as it leaves the skin so moisturized. Laurel oil is antibacterial and helps to clear up acne and pimples. You will smell the rich natural scent of laurel when bathing with the soap but you won't smell it once you leave the shower. The soap can be used all over the body including face and hair as it is so mild and is excellent to use for shaving, as it leaves the skin so moisturized. When using on hair you will notice it adds volume to the hair. The soap is used in the finest bathhouses (hammams) in the middle east and is often used when loofahing to thoroughly cleanse the skin. In fact it is recommended when you first use the soap to also loofah your skin to get rid of the dead skin cells and to leave your skin soft and moisturized. Because of the high oil content in the soap you will see that it floats in the bath. Many people with eczema and very dry skin who have been using the soap have found that it has considerably reduced itching, flakiness and dryness of the skin.
