Common Uses

A blood purifier that targets the skin specifically. Ideal for helping to support skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, dandruff and acne. Burdock is also helpful in support of anorexia, digestion, arthritis, rheumatism, fever, sciatica, lumbago, boils, styes, carbuncles, sores and infections. It stimulates bile, acts as a liver cleanser and as a blood purifier. It promotes kidney function and helps filter blood. It is especially useful in skin eruptions and general detoxifying or cleansing programs.

Suggested Dosage

Adults: One to three capsules a day at mealtimes, but start with a small amount and then slowly increase to this dosage. To do this, start with just 1 capsule once a day only. Take this amount for 2-3 days, then increase to 1 capsule twice a day. Each 2-3 days increase by 1 capsule until you have eventually built up to the recommended dosage.

Leanne uses this specifically for skin problems, to cleanse the liver and as a lymphatic cleanser. Leanne has also found this herb can be a problem for those who suffer with the Herpes virus and would suggest that if you suffer with this virus, choose a different blood cleansing herb, such as Dandelion.
