Common Uses

For brain vigour. Aids in the digestion and absorption of fats. May help lower cholesterol and assist in the prevention of arteriosclerosis. It has also been found to increase immunity against viral infections and to help prevent the formation of gallstones. Lecithin plays an important part in maintaining a healthy nervous system. Lecithin is also known to promote energy and is needed to help repair the damage to the liver caused by alcoholism. Taking lecithin will also help cleanse the liver and purify the kidneys. It can also assist in treatment of skin conditions like eczema and acne, as well as act as a liver tonic. In high doses, it can assist with memory - especially in older people.

Lecithin is a natural constituent of every cell of the human body and helps emulsify cholesterol in the body. Lecithin consists mostly of the B vitamin Choline, but also contains the omega 6 fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as inositol. It is high in phosphorous and unites with iron, iodine, and calcium to give power and vigour to the brain and aid in the digestion and absorption of fats. Lecithin may break up cholesterol and allow it to pass through arterial walls, helping prevent arteriosclerosis. It has also been found to increase immunity against viral infections and to prevent the formation of gallstones. Lecithin plays an important part in maintaining a healthy nervous system and is found naturally in the myelin sheath, a fatty protective covering for the nerves. Lecithin is needed by every cell of the body. Cell membranes, which regulate which nutrients may leave or enter the cell, are largely composed of lecithin. Without lecithin the cell membranes would harden. The protective sheaths surrounding the brain are composed of lecithin and the muscles and nerve cells also contain this essential fatty substance. Although Lecithin is a fatty substance, it acts as an emulsifying agent. Most lecithin is derived from soybeans. Lecithin is also available in egg yolk, liver, nuts, whole wheat, unrefined vegetable oils and corn.

Each gram contains: Lecithin 1 gram, equivalent Phosphatidyl Choline 230mg, Phosphatidyl Inositol 140mg.  No additives, fillers or free flow agents are contained in this product and it is routinely monitored to ensure no pestercide residues are present.  GMO free.
