Once daily Clinical Potency MygraFew was made specifically to help as a preventative for migraine headaches. Mygrafew is standardized to 3% parthenolide, 3 times more potent than other feverfew extracts. Studies on feverfew demonstrate the importance of sesquiterpene lactone (STL) content, and particularly the STL parthenolide for providing desired health benefits. Studies at the London Migraine Clinic have increased interest in the parthenolide in Feverfew for its role in helping to maintain blood vessel tone. MygraFew helps maintain normal blood vessel tone by reducing platelet aggregation, serotonin release from platelets and blocking the formation of pro-inflammatory mediators. MygraFew provides the level of parthenolide recommended by Canadian and British health authorities for optimal results. Each tablet provides the recommended level of 600 mcg parthenolide in a once daily dosage.

Mygrafew contains an extract of feverfew leaves. Feverfew was first used to treat inflammation, swelling, and menstrual discomfort in early Greek literature. During the 16th century it was used to treat fevers and rheumatic aches and pain by British herbalists. It is important to be aware that it is recommended to use feverfew for several months to two or three years, taking four to six weeks to start to take effect. When choosing a product, at least .2 percent of parthenolide is recommended.
