Health Information

For more than 2,000 years, Feverfew has been taken internally for fever, headache and menstrual regulation, or applied externally to relieve pain. Over the past 10 years pharmacological, chemical and clinical studies have confirmed the value of the use of Feverfew in the symptomatic relief of migraine symptoms. Clinical interest increased after an English newspaper asked for volunteers with experience using feverfew for migraines and received 25,000 replies. Of 300 volunteers, 70% claimed a reduction in migraine frequency or pain, after eating 1 to 3 fresh leaves a day. In a 1988 randomise, double blind placebo controlled crossover study on feverfew in migraine prevention in Nottingham, 72 volunteers received either a feverfew capsule or a placebo daily for 4 months. The feverfew treatment was associated with a reduction in frequency of headaches and related vomiting, as well as some reduction in migraine severity, the duration of migraine attacks was not significantly shortened.

Ingredients

Each 1 capsule contains Feverfew (leaf) 370mg and Feverfew leaf, dried extract 80mg, standardized to 0.7% parthenolide. Other ingredients: Gelatin (capsule)

Safety Information

Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, or by children under 2 years of age. Certain individuals may experience oral or gastric irritation with use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
