Greenridge's Gastrocalm is a truly natural alternative to harsh aluminium based indigestion remedies. Gastrocalm is a special blend of herbs in a liquid formula that provides rapid relief from gastric disorders such as heartburn, indigestion and acid stomach. It works with the body's natural processes to balance, or normalise the functioning of the digestive system. It is helpful in relieving flatulence and nausea, and may be helpful with occasional diarrhoea. Gastrocalm is a liquid tonic that is readily absorbed by the body to produce faster acting results. Gastrocalm is naturally flavoured with peppermint which makes it more palatable than some indigestion remedies and easier to administer to children.

Suggested Dosage

Adults take 10 ml in approx 20ml of water 15 minutes before meals, three times daily.

For acute pain and discomfort take as required up to 50ml per day maximum.

Children: 6-8 year old take 5 ml three times daily.

8-12 year old only take 7 ml three times daily

12+ years take adult dose.

Greenridge Gastrocalm has been formulated using a special blend of high quality herbs: Meadowsweet: The herb Meadowsweet is an acid regulator and thus has natural antacid properties - it reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach if this amount is too high, yet it will help to stimulate the production of acid if the level is too low. It does not simply suppress acid levels.

Marshmallow: The main constituent of Marshmallow is mucilage and its main action is a demulcent, soothing the membranes of the digestive tract. (A demulcent is a remedy that has a notable soothing effect on the membranes to which they are applied.)

Golden Seal works in two ways to relieve digestive disorders. It is known as a bitter herb and thus stimulates the normal secretion of digestive juices as well as working to soothe the mucous membrane linings of the digestive tract, thus allowing for the healing process. Just about everyone suffers from some form of digestive upset at some time in his or her life. Conditions affecting the digestive tract include heartburn, reflux and indigestion. Indigestion or dyspepsia are general term's for several symptoms that follow the ingestion of food. Theses symptoms can include heartburn, abdominal discomfort or pain, burping, or nausea. Heartburn, which is also known as acid indigestion, is described as a burning chest pain that begins behind the breastbone and moves upward to the neck and throat. In order to precipitate food absorption, especially proteins, the natural state of the stomach is acidic. By taking antacids we suppress natural acidity. Taking antacids long term can often make the condition worse by working against the body's natural state, thus affecting the breakdown, assimilation and utilization of nutrients. Each 10 ml contains extracts equivalent to dry: Filipendula ulmaria (Meadowsweet) herb 4 grams (4000mg), Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow) root 2 grams (2000mg), Hydrastis canadensis (Golden Seal) root 50mg. No added sucrose, gluten, wheat, yeast, soy, lactose, starch, sodium, preservatives, artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners. Contains alcohol
