Sambucol was developed in 1991 by Dr. Madeleine Mumcuoglu, a world-renowned virologist. The Sambucol line of products is the result of two decades of Dr. Mumcuoglu extensive research in the fields of virology and immunology. Sambucol, a standardized extract, is a preparation based on the berries of the Black Elder, used as herbal remedy against influenza virus infections. It contains a potent antiviral compound, AntiVirin as well as a high amount of three flavonoids (Bronnum-Hansen and Hansen, 1983). The flavonoids are naturally occurring plant antioxidants. Ingredients

Each 2 teaspoons (10ml): Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 100mg, Zinc (gluconate) 10mg, Proprietary Blend 478mg of Echinacea angustifolia root and Echinacea purpurea flower liquid extract, Propolis. Standardized Elderberry 100mg, Bioactives Extract (berry) from 6.4 g (6,400 mg) of premium cultivar berries. Other ingredients: Fructose, purified water, vegetable source glycerin, natural raspberry flavour, citric acid.
