Most people know vitamin C can be used for a variety of conditions. Vitamin C promotes healthy adrenal gland function and gums. When using vitamin C therapeutically, dosages well in excess of the recommended daily intake (RDI) are required. Large doses of pure ascorbic acid can cause acidic reactions particularly in the urinary system, digestive system and on the skin. Microgenics have chosen to use Calcium Ascorbate to help alleviate this problem. Addition of the bioflavonoids, rutin and hesperidin enhance the absorption and action of vitamin C. They have similar functions to vitamin C and also protect the Vitamin C molecule. Combining these ingredients ensures you get the maximum benefit possible from taking this supplement.

Each Tablet contains: Calcium Ascorbate 1000mg, equiv Ascorbic acid 887 mg, Bioflavonoids 100mg, Rutin 50mg, Hesperidin (from Hesperidin Complex) 11.25 mg.

Safety Information

Keep out of reach of children. Large amounts of vitamin C in one dose may initiate loose bowel movements. For maximum effectiveness vitamin C should be taken in divided doses throughout the day. If bowel tolerance is met, reduce intake slowly throughout the next few days. Do not take more than 5,000mg per day if pregnant, or suffer from gout.
