Common Uses

Urinary tract infections (UTI), cystitis, burning sensation when urinating. This could be taken on a daily basis, and used as a preventative to UTI's. It is also useful for masking urinary odours associated with incontinence and cystitis.

Suggested Dosage

Adults: 1 tablet daily. Children ½ a tablet daily. Not recommended during pregnancy. If pregnant, use Natures Way Cranberry instead.

Health Information

A high potency cranberry complex, formulated specifically to help rid the bladder of the bacteria that contributes to UTI and cystitis. Both men and women suffer from cystitis or bladder infections, although they are far more common in women. Nearly 85% of urinary tract infections are caused by E.Coli, a bacterium that is normally found in the intestines. Such bacteria introduced in to the area can gain access to the bladder by travelling up through the urethra. One of the reasons cystitis is more common in women is because of the short length of the urethra. This allows for relatively easy transmission of bacteria to the bladder. Many women develop a UTI after having intercourse. A good way to help to prevent this is by urinating straight after intercourse. Bladder infections are characterised by an urgent desire to empty the bladder. Urination is typically frequent and painful even after the bladder has been emptied, there may be a desire to urinate again. There is a stinging burning sensation with urination as the urethra and bladder are inflamed and irritated from the bacterial infection. If blood is present, you have a very serious problem indeed, and immediate medical attention is needed. Please be aware that if you have a UTI, you should also take an acidophilus supplement, such as Clincians FloraRestore. This helps to replace all of the good bacteria and is specific for E Coli related UTI's. As well as this, you should follow a diet that is free of yeast, added sugar and all mouldy fermented foods and drinks. If pain or inflammation persists for more than 48 hours, consult your healthcare professional. The presence of blood in the urine warrants immediate medical attention.

Each tablet contains: Vaccinium oxycoccus (Cranberry) ext equiv fruit juice fresh 17g (17,000mg), Barosma betulina (Buchu) ext equiv leaf dry 300mg, Arctostaphylos uva ursi (Uva Ursi) ext equiv leaf dry 200mg, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 100mg. NO added yeast, gluten, lactose, artificial colours or flavours, artificial sweeteners, dairy products or animal derived products.
