About healthyonline

Our retail shop Ideal Health located in Glenfield, Auckland, NZ, was founded in 1993 by leading natural health practitioner, Leanne James.

In 1998 we launched our internet shop healthyonline, to make it easy for new and existing customers to share our wealth of knowledge, experience and well-researched quality products.

At healthyonline:

• We only stock the highest quality natural health supplements that meet the strict quality standards of our in store Naturopaths.
• All our products are GE free - We do not stock or recommend the use of any Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) or ingredients.
• We offer our customers ongoing support and information from qualified natural health professionals.
• We also aim to provide New Zealand’s largest range of effective natural health products online. However if you have special requirements for products that aren't listed in our online catalogue then please email us with your requirements.

As a highly qualified health professional and registered natural health practitioner, Leanne and our health team, have a wealth of practical hands on knowledge and experience, to help ensure that you find a quality natural health product that's just right for you. Meet our health team below:

Leanne James

Is a Chartered Natural Medicines Practitioner registered with the New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners Inc.

Soon after the birth of her daughter, Leanne discovered that she had numerous food allergies.To help her, Leanne researched into different areas of natural health, in an effort to discover the best way to treat her daughters' condition.

In 1991 Leanne began formal training with the NZ Institute of Natural Therapies. Her training was completed under the supervision of Dr John Muntz. Leanne trained with them for two years and received a Diploma of Iridology. After completing her thesis, she was also appointed an examiner for them.

Her interest in herbs and their medicinal use, then lead her to complete a two year Diploma in Herbal Medicine.

Leanne is actively involved in many aspects of natural health care on a day to day basis, and is a member of several health organisations.

She is deeply passionate about natural health, and in July 2001 was recognised at the New Zealand Health Industry awards, with a special "Distinguished Public Service Award". This award was presented in "recognition of exemplary dedication and commitment as a Natural Medicines Practitioner providing without parallel, services to the community above and beyond the call of duty."

As further recognition of her health industry skills, she was elected to the Executive Board of the New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners Inc in July 2002. She remained on the Charter Board until 2010.

In November 2002 she was elected as the President of International Research into Iridology and Sclerology Inc. (IRIS). Leanne has been involved with IRIS since it's inception in 1999.
In August 2004 she was elected secretary and treasurer of the New Zealand Natural Medicine Association Inc. (NZNMA). She still holds this executive position.

Emma Davy

Emma trained in Sydney obtaining an Advanced Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine in 2005. Having found her passion for natural healing had grown, Emma decided to expand on her knowledge by completing an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, encompassing a diploma of Nutrition and a diploma of Iridology.

She spent two years working in a natural health clinic in Sydney, before deciding to move home to New Zealand after a 10 year absence.

Emma is passionate about helping others to reach their mental and physical goals, believing that natural health is the way forward, using treatments which embrace the mind, body and spirit to achieve a healthy balance for each individual.

She sees Ideal Health as the perfect opportunity to further her experience and expand on her knowledge to provide the best possible care to customers and clients.

Emma joined the naturopathic team at Ideal Health in 2007.

Her other interests include reading, nutrition, walking, gardening and spending time with friends and family.

Kerry Locatelli

Kerry and her family are originally from South Africa and immigrated to New Zealand in 2001.

Kerry trained at the Naturopathic College of New Zealand and obtained her Naturopathic Diploma in 2005.

Since then she has been working in private practice, as well as being involved with the New Zealand Society of Naturopaths Inc. at an executive level.

Kerry is currently studying part time to obtain her Bachelor of Naturopathy.

Kerry is passionate about natural health and is particularly interested in natural health care for children. She also has a passion for nutrition and healthy eating.

She joined the naturopathic team at Ideal Heath in 2011. Kerry enjoys interacting with customers and being part of a team dedicated to helping our customers.

Her other interests include spending quality time with family and friends, cooking and taking on new adventures.

Avalon James

Avalon is our customer service manager.  If you email our customer service team or phone with an order you will likely speak to her.  Avalon comes to us after several years working with the management team at Bartercard.

She previously worked with us, prior to her role at Bartercard.  It's great to have her back, helping our customers to have a great shopping experience.

Mike James

Mike is our general manager, and has been involved with Ideal Health since its inception. Mike has a strong business administration background. His interests include boating and fishing.

Mike has been instrumental in using technology to ensure that our customers receive accurate timely information. He has overall responsibility for healthyonline and is always interested to hear from you, if you have any shopping questions or suggestions to improve our site. Hemangi Solanki

Hemangi is part of our customer service team and is our assistant accountant.  As well as helping to process your order accurately, she also deals with our suppliers.

Originally from Fiji, Hemangi completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Auckland. She enjoys baking and watching movies.

Peggy Zheng

Peggy is part of our customer services team. She was born in Guangzhou Province of China.

She has a New Zealand Diploma in Business specialising in management and accounting.

Annie Huang

Annie assists our administration team in the development of our web site and related customer service systems. Annie has a keen interest in plants and gardening.

She graduated from the National Defence Technology University in China. She also has a Bachelor in Computing Systems from Unitec, Auckland.

We value Annies help in ensuring our customer service systems are as efficient as possible to ensure you get your orders correctly and promptly.
