Bronchitis

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the tissues lining the air passages leading to the lungs. Symptoms of bronchitis are fever, noisy or wheezy breathing, shortness of breath, cough, phlegm production (often purulent). Factors that can cause or increase susceptibility to bronchitis are asthma and other respiratory diseases, air pollution, cigarette smoke, fatigue, cold weather and malnutrition. Food allergies may also be a cause.
